DAMMIT WHY CAN'T I JUST SPEW ANOTHER 100 WORDS FOR MY ESSAY SO I CAN MAKE THE MINIMUM WORD LIMIT, AND GO TO SLEEP SO THAT I MIGHT WAKE UP ON TIME TO CATCH THE 7:30am TRAIN TODAY?!

Up until this point, Spanish Nationalism in music was still interesting to an extent, but it's just irritating now (due to my lack of self-discipline).

I have no one to blame but myself and Facebook.

ALL PASS------!

ahaha, for once I'm bringing good news to my LJ!

An hour ago I was freaking out about whether or not to see my uni results, but now I'm glad I did~.

1st Semester GPA: 7.000~!
Can't believe it, especially in regards to music history and aural skills, since I was told I couldn't sing in pitch, ahaha.
Tonight has been such a relief for me, I think I can finally get some decent sleep!

Oh, and for BLEACH fans, I thought this woud be fun to watch~<3

Like the title says... they're back again this season! Only there are four instead of the usual two this time. :D I have a feeling two of them are a couple, while the other two are somewhat younger... They communicate differently and have lighter coloured feathers. But I'm so happy that they're back, we've been wondering whether they woulld ever return again after the supposed "reconstruction" started and never finished... Will make time to visit them whever possible! ^___^

Another 5 set match, and

RAFAEL NADAL IS STILL NUMBER ONE IN THE WORLD!!

Congratulations~☆

Federer needs his thanks too for playing such a match with Nadal too.^^
Although it must've been really hard on him, so much pressure and expectation to win... Rafa's a considerate guy, he handled the situation well.

Cheers to another great tennis tournament---!

The longest match in the Australian Open history has finally ended---------!
Semifinals: Rafael Nadal def. Fernando Verdasco [6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 6-7, 6-4]
GO RAFA, I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!!

Although everyone would have to admit Fernando Verdasco played exceptionally well for his first semi-final here. But the most disappointing thing would have to be the fact that he lost the game to his own double fault.

Best of luck to both Nadal and Federer for he finals!

Rafa needs his rest, and Federer probably doesn't know whether to be happy or not at the outcome, ahaha.

新年快樂!

Writing a farewell speech...

...in japanese is harder than I thought it was. Half the problem is I don't know what to say, even in english. What kind of things should I talk about, if I'm pretending that I stayed with a host family for a year? For some reason, I reckon this would've been much easier if I had actually been to Japan before.

All I really have is this:
ホストファミリーのみんな様、一年間お世話になりました。
本当にありがとうございます。

And that's about it. D:

Film Music

I am now regretting going for so many years without watching many movies... because our final topic in music is 'Film Music'. Lack of knowledge results in not being able to find anything I want to perform D: I could alway compose something instead, but with exams coming up in 2 weeks, I would rather take the quick option of just performing something reasonably challenging (i.e. not holding single notes/chords every bar). It also comes with the advantage that I won't have to spend additional hours in front of the laptop burning my eyes out. =]

Edit: I ended up playing the theme from "Schindler's List". It was a really good arrangement! Went pretty well~. :D

テニミュmusic...?

I just saw a video some one uploaded of themselves playing Viking Horn on the piano. 'o' I adore that song so much~.

But the main point I'm wondering about is whether I should transcribe it on to paper once I can play it myself... There might be other people who want to play tenimyu songs too! (I know I would :D) Before that would be Kourin Suru Ouja, because I can already play a somewhat improvised version of it, so it just needs a bit of tweaking.

Yeah, I feel like doing this now! Better than homework.

Audition

Went for my audition at UQ today, and that musicianship 'evaluation' was a joke: I have a shit memory that can't memorise anymore than a phrase at a time, I don't know any of those scales apart from major, harmonic minor and melodic minor, and I can't sing... Epic failure. But apparently, it's not supposed to sway their decision because it's only an 'evaluation'.

Performance-wise, though, it was alright. The Hayden could've been better><, but I could probably pass, provided they want pianists/composers. Fingers crossed till October!

And on the way, I met this other pianist who was auditioning as well, it was great. Similar attitude towards the test =P

Back from the concert... and he is unbelievely amazing. Konstantin is so much better than that guy who performed last year (which might explain the need to buy tickets this time round, 'cept I have the priveldges of being a music student =]).

Brief recount of the night... and his beautiful hands*_* )

ピアノ、ピアノ~☆

In about 2 hours, I will be hearing the winner of the Sydney International Piano Competition perform~. I heard him practising after school, and the sound that he produces from the piano is amazing. I'm kinda miffed that I'm going by myself in terms of family, but it seems like I will know a lot of the people that will be there (like my music teachers). A sign that I will need to be polite and socialise accordingly.

Pity I have a music analysis due tomorrow that I haven't started properly untill today...

Wow, Ouji got his hair cut short! It looks boyish cute and definitely makes him look younger. (笑)

And new member for PureBoys already? Too quick, but not prepared like they did for Yuuichi and Hiromi.

Ba-chon always seems too busy to make it to any Amesuta meetups now...

WTH...  Sanada and Tezuka singing together is interesting enough already, but combined with that song?
Made my day (after slaving through a whole day of maths lacking sucess...).

It's kinda catchy in terms of melody, and it has a very exotic island feel, ahaha.
THEY NEED TO MAKE A ANIMATED CLIP FOR THIS.

Maths B test tomorrow... Didn't study enough! Need more time----

It's been raining really randomly today... It's raining kinda hard now. I also think that rumbling noise is actually thunder, and not the guy across the street opening and closing his car doors.

Chemistry test tomorrow... I'm kinda prepared. Meaning I will probably run short of time (it's only one and a half hours...) *wails*

あ、すごい雨です。やざしさの眠りをするかもしれないと思う。

Wow, now I can really hear the thunder... For some reason, I feel this weather is unusual.

Recently picked up some of my anime sheet music (which hasn't been played for a long while), and wondered if Miyamoto Shunichi was still alive (in the music industry). And he is! Listening to some of his other stuff that I hadn't tried before reminded me of how much I love piano music. His style is really graceful~. 「Never so Far Away, Never so Far Away, あきらめないで~☆」

D1 doujinshi is the best.

After following several communities, I decided I wanted to contribute too, so I joined LJ.

... which I first thought 2 years ago.

However, I finally made an account yesterday after having gone to the page 3 times (with the first 2 being unsucessful because I couldn't be screwed to fill out the form...).

Haven't completely figured out how this site functions yet, but it'll come (eventually...)

So now my first goal is to join a comm!
